Legislation

Perfect Match Introductions welcomes the new State legislation for ALL Introduction agencies in Queensland.

We have been in business for 25 years and have seen a number of other introduction agencies fail due to unscrupulous business ethics.

We have always made our "Caution List" available to help prospective clients while they are making enquiries with other introduction agencies. Most points on our "Caution List" are now included in the new legislation. We have updated our "Caution List", to include other points that you should look for when making enquiries.

Advice

• Before signing any Service Agreement, you must be provided with a "Pre-contractual Disclosure Statement". (This advises you how the company operates and the memberships they offer.)
• The Introduction agency must offer a cooling off period.

At "Perfect Match", we do not . . .

• Use pressure tactics to sell memberships.
• Sign up clients over the phone without completed forms or photo.
• Sign up clients over the phone without an office interview (if local).
• Debit clients credit card without approval.
• Debit clients credit card for higher than an agreed amount.
• Believe in completely free memberships for ladies(our ladies are more genuine).
• Cater for married men or women (separated is acceptable).
• Make exaggerated promises to sell memberships and not fulfill.
• Use gimmicks to sell - e.g. "lifetime" memberships.
• Offer clients a list (sometimes outdated), instead of matching professionally.
• Computer match.
• Advertise "non-existent" clients.
• Believe in clients paying for their own ads or to advertise themselves (we have sufficient clients already).
• Believe in blind dating from private ads (without screening).
• Pretend ex-clients or "prospects" are current clients (using photos or lists).
• Believe in having a "guaranteed marriage" membership (only the 2 clients involved can decide that).
• Have different levels of membership (our members have full selection of all current clients).
• "Upgrade" clients if prior service was purposely poor.
• Computer match. We have mature age, professional staff for selection of introductions.
